Ludwig Buildings Enterprises, LLC (Ludwig Buildings) is one of the oldest names and a pioneer in the metal building industry coming into existence in 1923 when our founder, E.B. Ludwig Sr. designed and manufactured a boiler building sitting atop the Hibernia Bank building.
Today Ludwig Buildings is a full-line manufacturer of pre-engineered metal buildings with experienced personnel including engineers, draftsmen, and sales utilizing state-of-the-art computer technology in its 220,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. The plant is managed by our Plant Manager and experienced Foremen who work with a team of highly skilled and trained professionals who adhere to quality control standards required by today’s metal building industry. We are headquartered in Harahan, LA, in the Elmwood Industrial Park which is only minutes away from downtown New Orleans.
Ludwig is a member of the Metal Buildings Manufacturer’s Association (MBMA) and is accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS). What separates us from our competition is our personal service that you can only get from a family-owned and operated company for 92 years.

Our customers range from contractors to end-users. Ludwig primarily serves the Southeast United States, however, we have delivered our buildings to 41 states and 28 countries. We are always looking to expand our reach and markets. From the simple to the complex, we can design and manufacture any metal building including warehouses, supermarkets, terminals, offices, schools, gyms, shipbuilding facilities, sugar warehouses, foundries, marinas, hangars, crane buildings, and mini-storage buildings.
